Threaded Pipe Repair Plug

Plugs to be machined from Hex. Bar Stock of SAE C1018 Steel. Pack harden plugs,
followed by drawing at a temperature which will relieve the plugs of brittleness
and still leave them hard enough to thread themselves into the wall of steel pipe.

Mark 1 to be used in 14 ga tubes. Mark 2 to be used in 16 ga tubes. Mark 3 to be used in 16 ga tubes oversize. Mark 4 to be used in 12 ga tubes. Mark 5 to be used in 11 ga tubes. Mark 6 to be used in 20 ga tubes.

	Notes
1.	Emergency pipe clamps are intended for temporary repair of failed pipe.
2.	Bar Material shall meet ASTM A-7 specifications.
3.	All clamps up to 4" nominal pipe size inclusive, shall have two bolts, as shown; all clamps over 4" nominal pipe size shall have four bolts. Unless otherwise specified on the order, the supplier shall furnish all clamps completely assembled with nuts and bolts.
4.	Bolts and nuts shall be of commercial quality. Bolts shall have square heads and meet ASTM A 306 class 50, 55 or 60. Nuts shall be A.S.A. Heavy Series, semi-finished, machined from bar stock are not acceptable. All threading shall conform to the A.S.A. (National) Coarse Thread Series, class 3 fit.
